New York City is a unique ecosystem for 8.3 million New Yorkers from all walks of life! We can strut on any block & get pretty much everything we need, transportation options are plenty, & the food/culture is hard to pass up, including that $1 slice of pizza.
But with any ups, there are downs. This year, nearly 60,000 New Yorkers don't have homes including families & children, we contribute to 14 million tons of trash yearly, & 1 in every 10 residents experience mental health challenges that negatively impact their professional & personal lives.
We're thankful for the energy of the city, but truly its driven us to exhaustion, & are in need of non-profits who are doing good during a tougher year.
