Startup Island TAIWAN Silicon Valley Hub serves as a bridge between Taiwan's startup ecosystem & Silicon Valley, helping innovative Taiwanese companies connect with global markets, investors, corporations, & entrepreneurial networks.
Through ecosystem programs, founder support, market connections, & community building, the Silicon Valley Hub provides a platform for Taiwanese startups to engage directly with one of the world's most influential technology & venture ecosystems.
For SF Tech Week, SIT SV aims to bring a curated group of founders & ecosystem leaders into the broader Bay Area technology community - creating opportunities not only to showcase Taiwan, but to build meaningful cross-border relationships.
Founded in 2022, Taiwan Global Angels (TGA) is a global network of 80 experienced angel investors & entrepreneurs, primarily based in the United States, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, & the United Kingdom.
TGA focuses on early-stage companies at the intersection of deep technology, artificial intelligence, industrial transformation, healthcare, automation, & next-generation sensing. Since its founding, TGA has built approximately US$30 million in assets under management, investing in 12 startups with 3 successful exits, as well as 2 investments in 2 venture capital funds.
Beyond capital, TGA connects founders with Taiwan's strengths in engineering, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, technology talent, & industrial networks while helping companies build & scale globally.
Taiwan has long played a critical role in the global technology ecosystem through semiconductors, electronics, advanced manufacturing, & supply-chain expertise.
The AI era is expanding that role.
As intelligence moves beyond software into robotics, healthcare, sensors, industrial systems, & physical-world applications, Taiwan's technology & manufacturing capabilities are becoming increasingly relevant to a new generation of global startups.
At the same time, more Taiwan-connected founders are building companies directly in the United States, while Silicon Valley investors are looking beyond traditional software categories toward AI infrastructure, deep tech, healthcare, & physical intelligence.
This is not a traditional country showcase or startup demo day.
It is designed as a curated conversation between capital & builders. The program brings together three communities that do not often share the same room:
Silicon Valley investors looking for the next generation of AI, deep-tech, healthcare, & physical-world companies; Taiwan-connected founders already building & scaling companies in the United States;
and founders coming from Taiwan who are exploring customers, capital, partnerships, & market opportunities in Silicon Valley.
The afternoon moves deliberately from big-picture investment perspectives to real founder experiences, then to rapid startup discovery & one-on-one networking.
