How does your product team make product roadmap decisions across innovation, iterative changes & operational considerations? In this talk, Sara explains how the Vision-Led Product Management framework can help. Every product team juggles several priorities at once, across 3 roadmap categories:
1. Innovation - progress on long-term vision (ex new features)
2. Iteration - tweaks to the existing product (ex conversion funnel optimizations)
3. Operation - cost of operating a platform (ex tech debt)
Sara will explain how making a top-down allocation decision on each category helps teams align on priorities so they dont compare apples to oranges (ex new feature vs usability issue vs bug). Shell also discuss how to decide how much capacity should go into each category based on the product life cycle stage
