Rust & Headless Chrome

Headless Chrome exposes Google Chrome as a programmable API. It enables a developer to automate all sorts of testing, take screen snapshots, & even print pages to pdf. A Rust-based Headless Chrome client project started at the beginning of 2019. This talk will cover what the Rust client offers today, including Darin's print-to-pdf contribution, & explores use cases.

Darin is an entrepreneur working on a greenfield project using Rust, SQL, & Python. Prior to his venture, he worked for a decade for several leading financial service providers in product development & IT. He is a contributor to Rust & Python open-source, authoring the Yosai Project.

WTF: What the Future?

Async/await is the new buzz in the rust community. What is it? And what is this Future type? What is Pin?? How do these things affect me? I'll go over what these topics are & how as a regular user, you might use them. Additionally, we will go over where the ecosystem is at in preparation for async/await in 1.38.
