Next Big Idea Club & Betaworks Studios invite you to a special breakfast with legendary author Susan Cain (Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can't Stop Talking) in conversation with Mollie West Duffy & Liz Fosslien about their new book No Hard Feelings: The Secret Power of Embracing Emotions at Work.

Susan Cain is the Chief Revolutionary of Quiet Revolution & the author of the bestsellers Quiet Power: The Secret Strengths of Introverts, & Quiet: The Power of Introverts in A World That Can't Stop Talking, which has been translated into 40 languages, is in its seventh year on The New York Times best seller list, & was named the #1 best book of the year by Fast Company magazine, which also named Cain one of its Most Creative People in Business. LinkedIn named her the 6th Top Influencer in the world. Her writing has appeared in the The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, & many other publications.



Her record-smashing TED talk has been viewed over 20 million times & was named by Bill Gates one of his all-time favorite talks. Cain has also spoken at Microsoft, Google, the U.S. Treasury, the S.E.C., Harvard, Yale, West Point & the US Naval Academy. She received Harvard Law School's Celebration Award for Thought Leadership, the Toastmasters International Golden Gavel Award for Communication & Leadership, & was named one of the world's top 50 Leadership & Management Experts by Magazine. She is an honors graduate of Princeton & Harvard Law School. She lives in the Hudson River Valley with her husband & two sons.

Liz Fosslien is the co-author & illustrator of No Hard Feelings: The Secret Power of Embracing Emotion at Work. She is responsible for content at Humu, a machine learning company founded by Laszlo Bock that uses nudges to make work better. Prior to joining Humu, Liz designed & led workshops for executives at Google, Facebook, & Nike on how to create inclusive cultures. Her writing & data visualization projects have appeared in CNN, The Economist, The Financial Times, & NPR. Liz starts every day with a bowl of plain Greek yogurt & a scoop of cocoa granola.

Mollie West Duffy is the co-author of No Hard Feelings: The Secret Power of Embracing Emotion at Work. She is an Organizational Designer at global innovation firm IDEO. Mollie formerly worked as a research associate for the Dean of Harvard Business School. She has worked with companies of all sizes to develop good workplace culture. Her writing has been featured in Fast Company, Quartz, Stanford Social Innovation Review, Entrepreneur, Quiet Rev & other digital outlets, & she's taught design courses at Stanford.
