New York Women Social Entrepreneurs (NYWSE), an international nonprofit supporting the next generation ofwomen change-makers presents Winning Women a monthly community event featuring stories by women-led startups, female entrepreneurs, Founders, CEO, Managers that use social missions to drive growth. At Winning Women, women share their lessons learned to an audience that ranges from 20-60s year old female & males who are eager to learn how to become better leaders, start a business, or juggle their passion project & day job.
Join us for Winning Women: Entrepreneurship & Motherhood featuring 6 mompreneurs sharing their experiences on entrepreneurship, motherhood & feminismon Friday, May 4, 2018, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Microsoft Flagship Store in NYC.
Can you be a good mother while running a business & fighting for equality & access to opportunities that have been previously denied to women? Can you be a good feminist while prioritizing the needs of your child & the desire to be a mother? And - let's be real - what do good feminist & good mother even mean, & are they at odds with one another? In a panel discussion moderated by Cynthia Hellen, we'll create a brave & safe space where we can talk honestly about the tensions between feminism, career, & motherhood. We will reflect on our own experiences, assumptions & fears & create a supportive circle of deepened connection to what feels right for us & our life.
