PureWow is a digital media company that specializes in women's lifestyle content. They publish original content on fashion, lifestyle, home decor, tech, health & more. Ryan founded PureWow in 2010 after working at Goldman Sachs for 5 years developing the Goldman Sachs Private Bank.
In 2017, Gary Vaynerchuck acquired PureWow to be a part of his conglomerate of media companies. The acquisition comes after years of growth at PureWow. In 2016, PureWow generated about $20 million in revenue from its readership.
We're excited to speak with Ryan about his journey at PureWow - what the early days were like, their revenue strategy, why he chose to hire only women in the early days, how they grew their user base, his leadership advice, how the acquisition happened, & life at PureWow now.
