Silicon Horizons: US-China Techno-Competition & its Implications for Semiconductor Innovation
Trade Wars, Reshoring, & Strategic Insights
Hybrid in person & video talk by Anthony Simon
As the rivalry between China & the United States intensifies, the governments on both sides of the Pacific are enacting tit for tat policies focused on limiting access to technology, markets & even strategic materials used in advanced applications from AI to Quantum computing. Anthony's talk will summarize the main areas of government intervention & its potential effects on technology innovation for each country.
His talk will explore the economic & other factors influencing the shift towards reshoring, supply chain resilience, the path to semiconductor sovereignty, & the impact of trade policies on global competition.
In an era where geopolitical tensions & global trade wars increasingly intertwine with the innovation, production, & distribution of semiconductors, the future of this crucial industry is set to redefine the landscape of our technologically advancing world. The objective is not only to navigate these complex issues but also to help attendees identify strategic opportunities & directions.
