YOUR AGENT INSTALLED WHAT? SECURING THE NEW AI SUPPLY CHAIN
Agents now install and connect to skills, MCP servers, plugins, tools and other agents. That is a new software supply chain, and very few organizations have decided who gets to approve what goes into it.
AI Insiders is not a conference. It's a vertical intelligence network. Each edition is laser-focused on one sector. This one: security.
Tuesday, October 6 6:008:30 PM San Francisco Hosted with Pebblebed During #SFTechWeek (October 511)
90 curated security researchers, CISOs, founders and investors.
WHY THIS DAY MATTERS
One thing sets the urgency. More compute finds more bugs, with no obvious ceiling. If that holds, this attack surface gets cheap to search very fast.
So we are getting specific:
Malicious and compromised MCP servers, poisoned tools and prompt-level supply chain attacks. What has actually been pulled off, not what is theoretically possible?
Permissions. Agents are being handed credentials and scopes that no human employee would pass review for. Who signs off, and against what standard?
Third-party dependencies. Your agent's tool calls someone else's tool. How far down does your risk actually go, and can anyone in your organization draw that map?
The approval question nobody owns. How does an enterprise actually decide what an agent is allowed to install or trust, and who is accountable when it goes wrong?
If you are building, breaking, buying or defending agent infrastructure, this is the room where those answers take shape.
THE PANEL
We are not putting four people on stage to predict what might happen. The room is built around three perspectives, and every seat has to have done the thing:
Someone who has actually compromised an MCP server or an agent tool environment.
Someone inside an enterprise who has rejected a specific tool on security grounds and can name it.
A builder or researcher who can push back on both.
Speakers announced shortly.
