Abstract:
How do we unnecessarily lose 40-70% of our work days to "Death by 1000 Cuts"?
This talk will cover the history of the 7 Wastes first established in manufacturing, & then translated to software development. We will cover their legacy, engage in group exercises, & discuss ways to address & mitigate these challenges in our workplace. Participation is strongly encouraged!
About the Speaker:
Malik Graves-Pryor has been an active, passionate, & agnostic learner of multiple agile methods & frameworks since he was introduced to Scrum by one of his co-workers in 2008. Since becoming a dedicated agilist in 2012 after 15 years as a developer & systems architect, Malik has focused on fusing agile & technical disciplines in his coaching approach to help turn the theory of agile into delivery reality for the teams & orgs he works with. Malik is the co-founder & principal consultant at Natoma Consulting & continues on his path to increased learning & understanding.
