 About the Role 

As part of the iCapital Marketing team, & reporting to the Global Head of Corporate Communications, the Media Relations Vice President will serve as a strategic communications leader responsible for driving global external communications & media relations strategy & the narratives to enhance & protect iCapitals reputation.

Responsibilities 

• Lead media relations strategy & tactical plan for iCapital & oversee the development of external business narrative that will be reflected in press announcements & leadership quotes, media engagement, executive social media, & thought leadership. 
• Build an impactful storytelling program through development & execution of next generation editorial strategy that can be amplified through all corporate channels including web, social channels, & paid media sponsorships. 
• Lead strategic media machine; Develop & nurture strong relationships with select number of top tier business, financial, broadcast press; develop a plan for earned, owned, & paid media relations.   
• Build high performance, hybrid news bureau to effectively plan & pitch, manage, & respond to press inquiries.  Manage how the company prepares & responds to public relations matters that support corporate reputation programs & marketing campaigns. 
• Act as public relations & media strategy counsel & partner with senior marketing & business leaders & foster relationships across the iCapital enterprise. 
• Manage the iCapital.com Newsroom, including companys press releases & media statements, signature announcements & strategic updates, & the media asset library.  
• Manage the PR Agency(s) teams supporting our media relations & external communications shaping the perceptions of iCapital. 
• Create the appropriate KPIs & Metric dashboards to measure media audiences perception & influence within our overall go to market strategies & corporate reputation.  

Qualifications 

• 10+ years of prior media relations experience managing hybrid teams preferably for a financial services firm.  Former financial services industry beat reporter a plus 
• Demonstrated track record of excellence in the development & execution of external communications & media relations for large financial services firms 
• Deep & broad business acumen, solid understanding of iCapitals business & its technology platform, clients, & the public & private markets 
• Passion for communication is a must, with excellent written & verbal skills & strong attention to detail 
• Exceptional organizational, strategic thinking, problem solving, project management, & process development skills, with the ability to balance short- & long-term priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
• Self-starter with sound judgment & strong interpersonal & relationship management skills 
• Experience in Financial Services, Technology, Fintech, or other fast-moving industries is required 
• Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of work experience required  

Benefits 

The base salary range for this role is $160,000 to $180,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, & an annual performance bonus.
