As a Business Development Representative Team Lead at Via, you will support Vias growth by generating opportunities for our sales team while managing a team of global BDRs. You will own the team goal, while also delivering on an individual target. As the BDR TL, you will prospect potential clients & articulate the value of Vias market-leading transit solution, while collaborating closely with other teams to supplement broader demand generation efforts. This role is data driven & requires  excellent reporting skills, strong writing & storytelling capabilities, & proactive team coaching. In this role, you will play a critical part in the pursuit of our mission to create equitable & affordable access to public transit in communities around the world.

What You'll Do:

  • Generate qualified pipeline through efficient & effective outbound research & activity in order to deliver on targets.
  • Become an expert on Vias suite of TransitTech solutions, clearly conveying their value proposition & capabilities to prospective clients.
  • Enable & manage global BDR team members, keeping a finger on the pulse across Via's primary markets in the US, Canada, & western Europe to ensure performance & collaboration.  
  • Partner with the sales team to creatively grow sales pipelines & manage meetings with potential clients.
  • Be an integral part of the Demand Gen function & marketing team, connecting BDR campaigns to other demand related activities.  
  • Report on BDR team progress using our CRM tools & tech stack with an eye towards improving processes for scalability.
  • Meet & exceed monthly prospecting goals by consistently staying on top & ahead of KPIs.

  • Excellent written & verbal communicator, especially in client-facing settings.
  • Exceptional time management skills, driven by data in your decision-making. 
  • Collaborative & proactive in seizing opportunity or solving problems.
  • Detail-oriented & thorough, with the ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks & projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hungry to learn; you receive & implement feedback well, & can similarly deliver constructive input to your team.
  • Organized & independent; youre both an individual contributor, a team player;a team leader eager to assist other BDRs reach their goals.
  • Passionate & resilient; youre not deterred by setbacks & enjoy the process of building relationships over time.
  • You have experience in sales/business development, market mapping, & creative client outreach.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Final salary will be determined by the candidates experience, knowledge, & skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable
  • Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year
