Squarespace is looking for a Business Development professional who is passionate about the power of Squarespace's platform & products to help customers build their brand & their business. Our Business Development team serves to commercialize new partnerships & incubate new growth opportunities for the company. You will help identify new areas of potential growth, optimization & be the commercial voice for product teams.The team collaborates with Legal, Finance, Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing & more.

You will report directly to the Head of Reseller Channel Partnerships & can be based in our New York headquarters or remotely in an approved US state.

Youll Get To 

• Optimize & grow our Domains & Email commercial partnerships, investing in strategic growth areas with domain registries & key partners in the domain industry ecosystem & professional email product offering. 
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, mostly the Domains & Email organization, to ensure strategic alignment & execution of partnerships 
• Maintain direct & active relationships with partners, including proactively resolving business & technical issues & serving as an internal advocate
• Communicate market opportunities, needs & partner feedback to teams to inform product roadmap & prioritization
• Collaborate with design, product, engineering, legal, finance, marketing, & PR to launch, maintain, & grow product partnerships
• Renegotiate & successfully find optimization paths in existing contracts, & ensuring favorable commercial outcome in new partnerships
• Develop business proposals, structure projections & KPIs, & negotiate contracts
• Represent Squarespace in external meetings with counterparts from other companies

Who Were Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience relating to partnerships, business development, strategy, or product management
• Strong product sense, & comfort with considering basic technical feasibility of partner integrations
• Proven competency & comfort with contracting large scale agreements
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead & handle multiple time-sensitive initiatives without sacrificing attention to detail
• Domain industry experience - highly preferred

Cash Compensation Range: $177,500 - $203,550 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
