THE ROLE: Associate Copywriter, Social Media

This role is responsible for creating engaging social content for our retail sites: Rue La La & Gilt. This position will help craft a broad range of content across social channels, including Instagram, Tik Tok, & blogs. You should be an adaptable storyteller with a passion for fashion, lifestyle, & social media trends.

What youll do...

• Apply Rue La La or Gilt voice to original copy, writing & publishing compelling captions for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, & Pinterest, as well as Instagram reels & stories, plus long-form blogs & more. All in a highly collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
• Write performance-driven push notifications, subject lines, & marketing email copy as needed.
• Schedule social content through our marketing platform & help with content updates as needed.
• Be an expert on the latest trends in the marketing & social media world, keep a pulse on pop culture moments.
• Contribute to & concept creative ideas that not only resonate with our audience but also support business goals.
• Work collaboratively & constructively with other members on the team, including Social Media Specialist, Marketing Managers, Merchants, Art Directors, Designers, Production, & Brand Operations.

• 0 2+ years of relevant work experience in social media copywriting (writing for retail is a big plus). Internship & Co-Op experience is welcome!
• BA/BS in English, Communications, Journalism, or a similar field preferred.
• Self-starting, able to both work collaboratively & independently as needed.
• Comfortable learning new tools & using content management systems in an online environment.
• Ability to write copy that is both succinct & compelling & that champions our brand voice.
• Thrive in an environment that is fast paced & requires juggling multiple projects & priorities.
• A solid portfolio showing breadth of work.

Base Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000

Our goal is to support, reward & compensate the entire individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include bonus/commission, stock options, 401(k) participation & match, paid time off, medical, dental, vision & basic life insurance. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated.
