We welcome interns in all areas of the company: industrial design, engineering, communication / visual design, interaction design, strategy, marketing & project management.
A few things to note:
We love interns at all levels of their career: undergraduates, recent graduates & graduate students.
Our internships are seasonal: winter, spring, summer & fall. We start accepting applications about 3-6 months prior, so plan your application ahead of time.
Our teams are multidisciplinary so youll be exposed to all types of great people & interesting projects.
Internships are paid, but what youll gain most from your time at Smart is real-world exposure to a talent-driven design culture & a hardworking & friendly team.
When applying, dont forget to include a portfolio for design, strategy & engineering internships.

Internships are based in NYC & will need to be local. We work on a hybrid model of 50% in person. Salary range will be dependent on educational level & range between $20-24/hour.
