As an experienced People Technology Lead, you will be key in driving people-related technologies at Squarespace, including the day-to-day operations & strategic direction. You will oversee a team of systems analysts & manage the overall planning, requirements-gathering, & end-user design - all while ensuring that our systems work together efficiently to meet current & future business objectives.

You will report to our Head of People Operations & Technology & be based in our New York working on a hybrid schedule. 

You'll Get To...

  • Optimize existing HR systems & establish goals & priorities for implementing new HR System solutions
  • Plan, budget, & forecast organizational needs, inclusive of system upgrades & the potential impact of those plans on current & future functionality
  • Remedy gaps & minimize transactional HR activity
  • Partner with People Operations, IT, Recruiting Operations, & other stakeholders to define system requirements & roadmap
  • Work with HR process owners to configure systems for annual HR processes & continuous enhancements (e.g., performance & compensation reviews)
  • Serve as project manager for new system rollouts & enhancements
  • Take a hands-on approach to configuring HR systems
  • Develop team capabilities & ensure high standards of technical execution
  • Actively engaging in design, testing & deployment activities to ensure scaled & effective solutions
  • Align stakeholders to collect & articulate system requirements
  • Understand People team programs, environment, & processes & leverage your prior HR experience to help design forward-looking configurations, workflows, & system functionality in partnership with leadership & key stakeholders
  • Develop a plan for short- & long-term maintenance of data in tables (i.e., job codes) to be used by the People Operations & Recruiting Operations teams
  • Partner with the Internal Controls team & People team process owners to establish procedures & serve as the point of contact for audits of internal People data & processes
  • Manage third-party vendors & oversee system integrations
  • Lead the strategy, planning, & execution of HR systems initiatives

Who We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of HR experience, including 4+ years in HRIS or People Technology roles
  • 4+ years of experience in a leadership or people management capacity
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday HCM, including configuration of business processes, EIBs, calculated fields, reports, & security roles
  • Proven experience managing third-party vendor relationships & system integrations
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools to improve system efficiency & user experience
  • Experience in both private & public sector environments is a plus
  • Ability to handle sensitive & confidential information with discretion
  • High level of data accuracy & attention to detail; advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • Experience with project & task management tools such as Asana & JIRA

Cash Compensation Range: $148,500 - $239,200 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
