Vox Medias Corporate IT team is looking for a Systems Administrator. Youll be expected to provide excellent customer service by ensuring systems performance & maintenance at all of our Vox Media offices. As Vox Media continues to grow, youll play an essential role in enhancing the security & quality of Vox Medias IT infrastructure. This position will report directly to the Director, IT Infrastructure.
WHAT YOULL DO
- Maintain virtual environment across multiple offices.
- Maintain Active Directory & single sign on systems for the organization.
- Manage Windows & Linux servers.
- Manage infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Monitor system performance & implement performance tuning.
- Perform troubleshooting & analysis of servers & associated systems.
- Manage system backup systems.
- Work with the system engineer to evaluate, build, integrate, test, & prepare systems for operational use.
- Upgrade & patch servers/services
- Create/update technical documentation as required.
WHO YOU ARE
- Ability to effectively communicate & collaborate with project stakeholders as well as team members.
- Knowledge of server virtualization, media file storage, & basic networking.
- Experience with Okta.
- Experience with the following systems: Windows Server, Linux (CentOs/RHEL), Active Directory, Network Storage, VMware.
Bonus points for:
- Microsoft, VMware, Okta certifications or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, & Powershell.
- Experience with Google Cloud or AWS.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology preferred.
