Warby Parker is looking for an all-star Benefits & People Operations Specialist to join us as a key member of the People team at our New York City headquarters, supporting employees across the U.S. & Canada. What youll do:
- Manage employee health & welfare benefits, including 401(k), enrollments, eligibility, HRIS maintenance, communication, reconciling of invoices, & compliance audits & testing
- Lead annual open enrollment processes by drafting communications, coordinating vendor attendance, & managing enrollment platforms
- Partner with external vendors & consultants to evaluate & optimize benefits offerings & escalate benefit inquiries as needed
- Effectively interpret, process, & administer all leave-of-absence requests & disability claims for state, federal, & company leave programs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all basic employee inquiries & escalated benefits issues
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement, making data-driven recommendations, & contribute to People Operations ad-hoc projects
- Support key operational processes & workflows across the employee lifecycle ensuring the proper flow of employee data & system functions
Who you are:
- Backed by at least 1+ years of relevant experience in Benefits & HR Operations
- Armed with a bachelors degree or equivalent education
- Comfortable in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets & eager to become a guru
- Extremely detail-oriented (youve never met an i you didnt want to dot)
- An expert communicator in writing & in person (the ability to communicate professionally with external & internal folks, & with all levels of management, is paramount here!)
- Able to manage highly confidential & sensitive matters with poise & maturity
- Comfortable juggling different tasks & ensuring they are completed in a timely manner & without errors; able to quickly digest & execute new processes & identify opportunities to make improvements
- Not on the Office of Inspector Generals List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
