Squarespace is looking for a CRM Strategist to develop, implement, & refine cross-channel CRM strategies that promote engagement, retention, & loyalty. We are looking for a blend of strategic thinking, technical proficiency, & operational excellence. You will execute CRM campaigns across email, push, & in-app channels, working collaboratively with creative, product marketing, & audience strategy teams to deliver high-impact campaigns that align with Squarespace's goals.
You will possess strong technical skills, a passion for data-driven marketing, & the ability to manage complex projects.
You will work hybrid from our New York headquarters & report to the CRM Associate Director.
You'll Get To...
- Strategy & Execution: Develop & optimize CRM strategies across multiple channels, focusing on customer lifecycle engagement, retention, & revenue growth.
- Campaign Management: Build, test, & deploy CRM campaigns across email, push notifications, & in-app messaging, ensuring alignment with KPIs such as open rates, CTR, conversion, & incremental revenue lift.
- Dynamic Content Personalization: Leverage proprietary scripting languages to create personalized, dynamic content in emails, push notifications, & subject lines tailored to individual user behaviors & preferences.
- Testing & Optimization: Lead multi-variant (A/B) testing to continuously improve campaign performance across different audience segments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a CRM expert across the organization, partnering with the Creative, Audience Strategy, Engineering, & Analytics teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with brand goals & business objectives.
- QA & Compliance: Oversee campaign QA processes to ensure content renders correctly across devices & platforms while maintaining compliance with regulations such as CAN-SPAM, CASL, & GDPR.
Who We're Looking For
- Experience: 1 or more years in a CRM, email marketing role with expertise managing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, & dynamic content scripting languages. Familiarity with ESP platforms (such as Iterable or Braze) & understanding of email best practices.
- Design: Strong eye for email design, layout, & current industry trends, with the ability to collaborate closely with creative teams to ensure visually appealing & on-brand campaigns.
- Project Management: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously & meet deadlines.
- Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of global email compliance laws including CAN-SPAM, CASL, & GDPR.

Cash Compensation Range: $70,500 - $90,000 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to receive an incentive award as part of their total compensation.
