We're seeking a strategic, data-driven, & customer-centric Director of Merchandising to lead our team & shape the future of our core eyewear business. In this role, you will define the roadmap for new product launches, align merchandising initiatives with broader business objectives, & drive long-term growth across both digital & retail channels. What you'll do:
- Define & evolve the long-term assortment strategy for our core frames business, incorporating customer insights, sales performance, trend forecasting, & profitability goals
- Partner with the Digital Product team to shape the future of the ecommerce shopping experience, ensuring our product is discoverable, inspiring, & conversion-driven
- Develop the strategy for in-store presentation across 300+ locations, including specialty assorting, product tiering, & localized merchandising to maximize performance
- Work cross-functionally to drive go-to-market strategies, crafting compelling product stories & mapping marketing spend to product performance, ensuring alignment with financial & brand objectives.
- Own the pricing & promotional strategy for frames & lenses, balancing value perception with margin optimization
- Manage in-season business performance with a strong command of KPIs, & adjust strategies in real-time to meet financial targets
- Partner with Design & Product Development teams to guide the creation of new product, ensuring it meets brand, design, & quality standards
- Partner with merchandise planning & finance to manage the open-to-buy & inventory investment, ensuring efficient allocation to support sales, margin, & channel needs
Who you are:
- Backed by 10+ years of experience leading merchandising strategy, with a proven ability to drive growth & customer engagement
- Highly analytical, leveraging data & customer insights to inform decisions & drive business outcomes.
- A compelling communicator & presenter, able to translate complex data into clear strategies & inspire alignment across stakeholders
- A people-first leader with experience managing & developing high-performing merchandising teams
- Comfortable working with digital product & technology teams, with a track record of contributing to digital innovation & ecommerce enhancements
