WHAT YOULL DO

As a Senior Associate in Strategy & Operations on the Consumer Revenue team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Vox Medias subscription & membership businesses. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop & implement strategies that enhance subscriber experience, maximize revenue, & promote sustainable growth across the portfolio. The role will require a mix of operational expertise, business strategy, & marketing experience to support the Senior Director of Strategy & Operations in growing direct reader revenue at Vox Media.

Vox Medias Consumer Revenue business includes New York Magazine, Vox memberships, Cafe Insider, Criminal Plus, as well as premium paid newsletters for The Verge & SB Nation.

  • Support the Sr. Director of Strategy & Operations on executional priorities across the Consumer Revenue business.
  • Analyze market trends & subscriber data to identify growth opportunities & areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, & editorial teams to create compelling subscription offerings & lead projects to optimize pricing, packaging, & promotional strategies.
  • Coordinate & manage operational processes & workflows to ensure efficiency & effectiveness across the team.
  • Develop & execute strategies to drive subscriber acquisition, retention, & engagement. This will include creating marketing plans & supporting operations for Vox memberships & our premium newsletters businesses.
  • Create financial models to build business cases for new investments & product launches.
  • Support go-to-market strategy & planning for new product launches.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or a related role, preferably in the media or subscription-based industry.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Deep understanding of the media landscape & digital subscription models.
