We are looking for a customer-centric, data-driven & product oriented Category Manager to join our Add-Ons Product Strategy & Innovation Team. You will be responsible for performance & driving growth to hit our ambitious product goals across 2 of our leading brands - HelloFresh & Every Plate. You will be the product expert for all things within your categories & will set the vision & roadmap for category growth, taking into account current item performance, competitive offerings & new research & innovation in the space. In addition to managing & optimizing an existing portfolio of products, you will be responsible for new product development within this category for each of the brands, driving the process from concept stage to commercialization on our menu. 

You will...

  • Lifecycle manage all Add-Ons in your category, reviewing current performance, ratings & reviews, profit margins & finding opportunities for both growth & optimization. 
  • Own the product roadmap for this category, setting the vision & laying the groundwork for new product development 1-2 years out. 
  • Be the expert on your category, tapping into industry research & trends, trying competitive products & gathering insights to shape our decision-making for the category. 
    • Where relevant, partner with our internal research Manager to uncover new customer insights to further the growth of the category. 
  • Drive new product development, either briefing & partnering with the internal culinary team or working with sourcing on third party development. 
  • Design new product packaging, highlighting meaningful claims & callouts to address customer problems to solve. Manage any existing product packaging improvements/changes.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to inform new product launch campaigns as well as ongoing marketing for the category.
  • Provide recommendations on pricing & promotion to incentivize trial & build retention.
  • Create forecasts for new products including a recommendation of unit sell through as well as AOV/take rate projections. 
  • Support Product Ops to create the menu offerings each week for your categories, ensuring both variety for customers as well as optimal business performance, & planning for new product launches as well as optimizations.
  • Partner with Product Ops, Sourcing, & Procurement on any product issues impacting your categories, excess inventory or inventory shortages & address in a timely manner.

  • A critical thinker  You use logic to identify opportunities, evaluate alternatives, & present critical information to solve complex problems.
  • Highly collaborative - You enjoy working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to get things done.
  • Curious & Passionate about Product - you are always looking to learn more about the industry & new products.

At a minimum, you have...

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or other relevant field of study.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with a background in physical product management, category management, product marketing or strategic sourcing across food/food tech or CPG industries.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office applications & Google Suite applications (especially sheets & slides).
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple cross-functional stakeholders as well as to present to executive level colleagues.
  • Success in collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Travel: <10%
