We're looking for a Sr. Product Designer to join the Platform design team & drive real & immediate business impact & create best-in-class foundational experiences for our customers in the Squarespace ecosystem with our Building Blocks & User Platform groups.
Youll design for many of the shared user experiences across the Squarespace Core platform & other product lines, support the fundamental pieces that every experience has in common on the platform, & help our product teams build those cohesive experiences more easily.
Youll partner to help shape strategy, identify new opportunities & define a user experience that meets the needs of our product across multiple product lines. Youll help influence how to work & collaborate on a growing team that values systems thinking, great craft, deep partnerships, & thoughtful user experiences.
This is a hybrid role working from our New York City headquarters. You will report to the Product Design Manager of the Building Blocks group.

- Contribute to OKRs, product strategy, vision, & roadmap by working closely with PM & Engineering partners
- Help define key metrics in order to track success & business impact
- Maintain clear team alignment around goals & priorities
- Partner with user research & testing, ensuring usability & product consistency
- Collaborate with our Design Systems team to ensure your work integrates into our ecosystem
- Love talking to users & looking at data in equal measure
Who We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in product design
- Simplifies complex data into actionable design tasks
- Proficient in Figma & prototyping both large concepts & micro-interactions
- Strong visual design expertise in consistency, color, typography, & animation
- Experience with UX methodologies for complex systems (service blueprints, user journeys, usability testing)
- Systems approach to designing large concepts & micro-interactions
- Effective at storytelling & tailoring presentations for different audiences
- Passionate about impactful design, staying current with trends
- Provides thought leadership & aligns design with brand voice

Cash Compensation Range: $128,500 - $207,000 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
