The Head of Financial Services & Digital Marketplaces will be responsible for building & leading CLEARs networked identity business across B2B verticals outside of travel & healthcare. In this role you will lead the team that identifies & expands external partnerships that support CLEARs objective of creating a more secure, trusted, digital world by utilizing the CLEAR Verified platform for networked digital identity verification at scale. You will have P&L ownership, lead a team, & partner closely with Sales, Product, Marketing Engineering & Strategy to evaluate potential product enhancements, new verticals, & go-to-market strategies for CLEAR to enter & grow within as a branded & membership-driven B2B2C technology solution. 


What you will do:

  • Develop & execute a comprehensive strategy to grow CLEAR Verified's market presence, membership, & revenue via strategic partners across a variety of industries, including financial services, digital marketplaces, ecommerce, P2P networking & online trust, gaming, government, & more.
  • Identify & evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, & market segments that align with CLEAR Verified's core competencies & contribute to revenue & membership growth.
  • Lead negotiations with strategic partners while ensuring the alignment of company interests.
  • Lead a team of business development professionals to identify & pursue potential clients, negotiate partnerships, & drive revenue growth in diverse industries, fostering a high-performing & collaborative environment promoting CLEAR's values of transparency, innovation, & customer-centricity.
  • Collaborate with sales, product, engineering, marketing, legal & finance, to drive deals while developing integrated solutions that meet our partners' needs & advance our product offerings.
  • Be finely tuned into market research, competition, regulatory changes, industry trends, & market gaps to identify potential areas of expansion across multiple industries.
  • Build & maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry influencers & potential strategic partners. 
  • Provide thought leadership in identity solutions, representing CLEAR at industry events & networking opportunities.
  • Drive the development & execution of go-to-market strategies, including pricing, sales tactics, & customer acquisition plans.

What you're great at:

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in business development, preferably within the financial services sector, with a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, & competitive landscape in various sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop & execute strategic business development plans with a proven track record of closing deals & managing partnerships that have led to significant revenue growth.
  • Strong negotiation skills & a deep understanding of contract structures.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of managing & motivating high-performing teams.
  • Outstanding communication & presentation skills, able to represent CLEAR effectively to diverse audiences, build relationships, & influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify & evaluate new business opportunities & develop innovative growth strategies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data & market insights to make informed business decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills & the ability to manage multiple projects & priorities simultaneously; flexibility & adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The base salary range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000, depending on levels of skills & experience.

The base salary range represents the low & high end of CLEARs salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience & performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEARs total compensation package for employees & other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units
