What we do in Performance Marketing 

We are a world class performance marketing team that focuses on managing large-scale marketing campaigns across all areas of travel & devices. We have a test & data-driven approach that lets us scale what works while optimizing world-wide initiatives in close collaboration with product, analytics, engineering, creative, & brand. We are heavily ramping up our app marketing this year & are looking to supercharge growth through experimentation within both existing & new marketing channels.

What youll do:

The Senior App Marketing Manager will report into the Associate Director of Performance Marketing & be responsible for driving acquisition & activation for our mobile app. You will own our ASO & ASA efforts while also coordinating the execution & optimization of our paid marketing app strategy by partnering with channel owners across paid search, social, affiliate & display advertising. You will also own new channel testing & work with both external vendors & internal cross-functional partners in Creative, Product, Analytics & Engineering. 

You will quickly assess acquisition channels, test campaigns, & productionalize successful initiatives. You will own relationships with key data & measurement partners, & understand integration with proprietary Tripadvisor data. Were looking for an experienced, agile, entrepreneurial, & proactive person that can show measurable progress towards strategic company goals. 

The Senior App Marketing Manager will be responsible for, among other things:

  • Developing & driving a test roadmap for paid app marketing campaigns, globally.

  • Day-to-day management & optimization of our ASA & ASO campaigns.

  • Ownership of our MMP partner for marketing use cases & support other teams with use of the MMP platform & reporting.

  • Identifying & testing new paid channels & vendors to drive installs & engagement.

  • Working closely with a highly experienced team of marketers, analysts, & data scientists.

  • Partnering with the dedicated engineering team for channel integrations & measurement requirements.

  • Partnering with the Integrated Marketing team who owns creatives, value proposition development & performance across free channels (email, onsite etc).

  • Tracking, analyzing, & reporting on key performance metrics & identify areas of opportunity to improve KPIs across areas of responsibility

  • Providing updates on app marketing performance to wider marketing team, finance & leadership team.

  • Advising on digital & app marketing best practices, the latest tools & systems.

What are we looking for? 

Were looking for someone whos analytical, proactive, strategic, not afraid to speak up, & ready to take the lead on our paid app marketing. 

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing across multiple channels with proven success in app marketing campaigns with first-hand experience in ASA & ASO campaigns.

  • Experience working closely with marketing, engineering & data science partners to develop custom tools & strategies to maximize performance.

  • Proven track record of standing up new campaigns from scratch & scaling them globally.

  • Experience working with MMP vendors such as Appsflyer to ensure best-in-class tracking & attribution.

  • Deep understanding & experience in leveraging 1st & 3rd party data, & in dealing with ever changing privacy regulations across geos.

  • Exceptional problem solving, communication, & analytical skills

  • Ability to think & act creatively, strategically, & tactically

  • Strong, relentless attention & focus to details.

  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at one-time with many stakeholders.

  • Strong knowledge of & affinity for emerging trends in app tracking, measurement & performance marketing.

  • High self-motivation with a sense of urgency, strong project management skills.

The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $155,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An employees pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, & business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
