What Is Kalshi

Kalshi is the first & only federally regulated exchange where people can trade on any event. Think like the NYSE, but instead of trading stocks, you trade on the events you know & care about. After three years of regulatory struggle, Kalshi's historic regulatory approval from the CFTC has allowed it to launch a new asset class: event contracts. Event contracts, the fastest-growing asset class today, are elegant financial instruments structured as simple yes/no questions about the future. 

In 2024, Kalshi Klear was approved as a Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO) & now manages all clearing activity for its exchange members.

We are looking for passionate & outlier members excited to embark on this voyage toward building the financial system's next inflection point.

Role Roadmap

Were looking for a sharp, detail-oriented AP Specialist to strengthen Kalshis financial backbone. Youll own core accounting & vendor processes, support operational reporting, & help streamline the systems that keep our company running smoothly. This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, & strategy perfect for someone who loves turning structure into speed.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

• Review & process vendor invoices, reimbursements, & card expenses
• Maintain vendor records & streamline AP workflows
• Collect W-9s, W-8s, & support year-end 1099 filings
• Track operational cash & assist with internal reporting
  
  

Finance & Ops Organization

• Help build documentation & improve process clarity
• Maintain accruals, reconciliations, & other core records (AP, Prepaids, etc.)
  Support month-end close & other recurring tasks
• Pitch in on cross-functional finance & admin projects
  
  

Qualifications

• 24 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or payroll/AP
• Familiarity with tools like NetSuite & Ramp
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, & proactive
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Collaborative, resourceful, & unafraid to take ownership

NYC Pay Transparency Disclosure:

Salary Range: $100,000 to $180,000 annually plus equity & benefits.
This salary range is based on the current available market data, & represents the expected salary range for this role. Kalshi has minimal hierarchy & few titles, but has broad ranges of experience represented within roles.
