The Senior Manager of Program Management, Finance will lead & manage the portfolio of Finance projects, including supporting product & technology initiatives, goals management & process & innovation improvements. This role focuses on driving strategic financial initiatives that align with the organization's goals & objectives. The Senior Manager of Program Management will be a proactive member of the Finance team with a strong background & proven track record of working collaboratively & managing multiple projects of varying scope, complexity, & life cycle. Additionally, this role involves managing complex projects, enhancing financial processes, & providing strategic insights to internal & external stakeholders. The Senior Manager of Program Management will also supervise & mentor one direct report, fostering their professional growth & ensuring consistent project support.
This is a hybrid role working from our NYC office 3 days per week. You will report to the Senior Director of Finance Operations.
You'll Get To
Strategic Planning
- Create & maintain the function's roadmap, setting objectives for the next 1-2 years.
- Proactively identify key projects & initiatives requiring project management support.
Proactive Execution & Oversight
- Lead & drive Finance processes & related technology improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate & document all project phases, including initiating, planning, executing, & monitoring.
- Create comprehensive project plans with specific milestones, tasks, identification of risks, contingency plans, & allocation of ownership.
- Identify & mitigate risks by providing actionable recommendations to ensure timely & scope-aligned project delivery.
- Collaborate with Finance functional leaders to gather, document & analyze business requirements, processes, & technologies.
- Ensure testing plans are well- documented, align with business requirements, & monitor execution to meet project objectives.
Problem-Solving & Recommendations
- Utilize creative & analytical thinking to develop tailored solutions & actionable recommendations for each project.
- Build trust with business leads by delivering a constant stream of support & recommendations that fit within finance strategies.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate cross-functional communication with Executive management, functional leaders & subject matter experts.
- Deliver periodic updates, presenting key information concisely & ensuring alignment with project goals.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage & mentor project management staff, fostering their growth & ensuring high-quality support for project delivery
Who We're Looking For
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Product and/or project management.
- 5+ years people management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field
- PMP preferred
- Experience in a technology company a big plus
- Experience in solutioning in a dynamic, fast-paced & multi-project environment
- Superb attention to detail & documentation skills
- Excellent organizational, prioritization & process improvement skills
- Self-starter who demonstrates initiative & displays a high energy level
- Flexible & influencing
- Excellent communication skills with audiences at various levels

Cash Compensation Range: $178,500 - $240,000 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
