Were looking for a Product Designer to join our Activation team within the Growth organization. In this role, youll design onboarding & guidance experiences that help customers confidently launch their businessfrom publishing their first site to setting up their store. Youll collaborate with cross-functional partners to shape AI-assisted tools & intelligent workflows that make complex tasks feel approachable & achievable. Your work will help new users build momentum, gain clarity, & turn ideas into action faster than ever before.

This is a hybrid role based in our New York City headquarters. You will report to a Senior Product Design Manager.

You'll Get To

• Design intuitive, action-driven experiences that support new customers in setting up their websites & online businesses.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Content Strategy, & Research to explore how AI can support onboarding, content creation, & business setup.
• Identify friction in the new user journey & contribute ideas that make tasks simpler, faster, & more satisfying.
• Prototype ideas, contribute to user research & usability testing, & participate in design critiques.
• Leverage our design system while helping evolve patterns as product capabilities expand.

Who Were Looking For

• 5-7 years of experience designing & shipping web or mobile products
• Strong interaction & visual design skills, with an eye for clarity & simplicity
• Experience in building interactive prototypes that include animation & microinteraction.
• Enthusiasm for designing helpful, approachable user experiences that empower people to start & grow something new
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams & incorporating feedback from research & analytics
• Interest in emerging technologies, especially AI-powered tools that enhance creativity & reduce setup complexity
• Familiarity with design systems & a desire to build on shared standards
• Curiosity about onboarding, activation, & growth experiences in a product-led environment

Cash Compensation Range: $153,500 - $247,250 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
