Senior Associate, Indirect Procurement Job Description:

The Senior Associate will be a team member within our procurement team, responsible for establishing & executing strategies to optimize external spend for select indirect categories.

We seek an experienced, high-potential procurement expert to drive internal collaboration, compliance with best practices, & continuous value creation.  Your time will be spent 

• Collaborating with wide-range of cross-functional leaders to identify value-creation opportunities & build effective sourcing strategies
• Developing, tracking, & executing a pipeline of initiatives & benefits
• Leading complex sourcing events & negotiations across all indirect categories
• Monitoring procurement performance against strategic goals

You will ...

• Lead complex sourcing events & negotiations for assigned indirect categories
• Partner with cross-functional leaders in building effective sourcing strategies across a range of categories based on rigorous analysis & involving all relevant stakeholders
• Initiate sourcing requests, gather requirements, analyze bid packages, liaise with vendors to address data gaps, & prepare & release bid packages.
• Develop comprehensive benchmarks, baselines, & savings models, where appropriate.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure adequate participation, negotiate favorable contractual terms & conditions with suppliers, & summarize proposals for the business.
• Implement & monitor key performance indicators/scorecards for suppliers, actively engage stakeholders in the process to ensure the relevant indicators are understood & tracked
• Deliver on cost reduction commitments by identifying, developing, & executing strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Participate in special projects as requested

• A strong communicator who can easily communicate complex solutions cross-functionally & to upper management

You have

• Total of 3+ years of experience in procurement & sourcing, including leading RFx events & contract negotiations, consulting experience preferred
• BA/BS degree in business, supply chain or related discipline, CPM certification a plus
• A successful track record of value creation from data-driven insights in sourcing or supply chain 
• Vast knowledge & interest in strategic sourcing & continuous improvement processes with demonstrated experience in spend analysis, managing sourcing events, & generating value
• Strong quantitative & analytical experience (either through education or professional experience), including expertise with Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, etc) & Google Suite
• Professional training in negotiation practices is a plus
• Flexibility to travel domestically (up to 10% of time) as needed
