As a Community Engagement Principal, you will lead Vias efforts with our partners to engage in local communities. The Community Engagement team specializes in local engagement which ensures that our products & services meet the needs of, & are inclusive to, a wide spectrum of riders including the most vulnerable portions of the population. From project scoping & consulting to ensuring no rider is left behind as a new service launches, were there to support the community at every stage of the deployment journey.

What Youll Do:

• Manage community engagement strategy for Via, working both internally & externally to engage community groups, elected officials & riders, with a strong focus on vulnerable rider populations.
• Build relationships with community organizations & leaders to increase awareness of Vias services in their local communities & solicit information about their needs. This includes providing on the ground & virtual efforts such as attending community events, leading trainings, & creating engagement materials. 
• Engage with local elected officials to understand community needs & engage their constituents. 
• Engage with riders & develop programs for continued education to ensure community members understand & take advantage of all service offerings.
• Create targeted marketing content aimed at educating community members on service offerings
• Serve as the main point of contact regarding community engagement for our partners, helping them proactively identify & address community barriers & concerns.
• Manage feedback for product development, ensuring that our engineering team is getting the feedback they need to build the best product possible to meet the needs of our riders.
• Collaborate closely with Partnerships, Rider Growth, Operations & other internal teams to ensure the voice of the rider is heard & were building inclusive marketing strategies to reach diverse audiences.

Who You Are:

• Effective at managing multiple tasks simultaneously & comfortable taking on responsibility
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a community engagement or strategist role
• Excellent verbal & written communicator with a knack for always finding the right tone
• Problem solver; you dont accept the status quo & are always looking for creative solutions
• Meticulous & vigilant, with a high level of attention to detail
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Demonstrated record of entrepreneurial achievement and/or leadership a plus
• Management experience a plus 
• Multilingual a plus
• Design experience a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Final salary will be determined by the candidates experience, knowledge, & skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable
• Salary Range: $120,000-$160,000
