ABOUT THE ROLE

Vox Media is seeking a strategic & analytically-driven Director of Podcast Franchise Strategy, Growth, & Operations to lead strategy & growth initiatives for top shows in our podcast portfolio. This role will serve as the operational business lead for our top podcast franchises, combining strategic planning, day-to-day management, financial planning, & operational excellence to drive sustainable growth. This role will work closely with host talent & editorial teams to successfully run & grow their shows & broader media businesses in partnership with our audience & revenue teams.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Manage & grow high-priority podcast franchises, including collaborating with teams on operational priorities, audience development & revenue initiatives, managing talent relationships, & identifying new franchise growth opportunities through market analysis & competitive research
• Own financial reporting & analysis for podcast franchises, including P&L management, revenue forecasting, & preparation of quarterly business reviews (QBRs) for leadership & partner teams 
• Lead strategic planning processes & create franchise development roadmaps with clear operational milestones, growth targets, managing cross-functional communications between editorial, sales, marketing, & production teams
• Monitor & optimize KPIs across audience, revenue, & operational metrics 
• Identify & evaluate potential partnerships, acquisitions, or licensing opportunities to support franchise monetization through advertising, subscription, & other revenue streams
• Manage cross-functional priorities & communications between editorial, sales, marketing, & production teams to ensure progress & alignment

WHAT YOULL BRING

• Experience leading workstreams & teams in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or portfolio operations / value creation 
• Experience in media, entertainment, or podcasting industry preferred, with familiarity of creator economy & digital media business models & monetization strategies
• Exceptional strategic thinking & communication abilities with experience managing & engaging with senior audiences & independently managing multiple complex projects 
• Strong project management capabilities & entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work effectively with both creative & business stakeholders in fast-paced environment
• A sharp analytical toolkit, with fluency in financial modeling
