As a Staff Product Manager focused on our Data Platform, you'll play a crucial role in shaping, prioritizing, & delivering data initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives. Your work will directly empower analytics engineers, data scientists, & analysts by providing reliable, scalable data products & services.

You will report directly to the VP of Product Management. This is a hybrid role working from our NYC headquarters 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Product Ownership: Own the product roadmap for the Data Platform team, balancing technical feasibility, user impact, & business goals.
- Vision & Strategy: Define & communicate a clear, compelling vision & strategy for the data platform, aligning closely with Squarespace's broader strategic objectives.
- Technical Roadmap: Lead user discovery & market research to deeply understand current & future user needs, translating insights into actionable roadmaps.
- Data Integration & Reliability: Prioritize & oversee data integration projects, ensuring they meet accuracy, latency, & availability service-level objectives (SLOs).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with analytics product managers & technical teams to champion data quality, reliability, & best practices across Squarespace.
- Stakeholder Communication: Clearly articulate strategy, progress, & outcomes to stakeholders across the company, ensuring alignment & buy-in.
Who We're Looking For
- Experience: 8+ years of product management or technical leadership experience, ideally in data-intensive environments.
- Technical Acumen: Deep expertise in data systems architecture, microservices, & infrastructure design, with the capability to engage in technical decisions.
- Systems Thinking: Demonstrated ability in end-to-end system design, including knowledge of component-based architectures, data storage solutions, & integration methods.
- Data Architecture: Experience with data modeling, database design, & data warehousing, including familiarity with large-scale data model improvements.
- API Design: Understanding of RESTful APIs & integration patterns to enable seamless interoperability.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; MS in Computer Science or related engineering discipline is preferred.

Cash Compensation Range: $185,500 - $299,000 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
