Position Overview:

The Data Reliability Engineer II is an integral part of the Data Operations Team, responsible for analyzing & externalizing DoubleVerifys data internally as well as monitoring, troubleshooting, & improving the various companys data pipelines & technologies.

Responsibilities:

• You will gain in-depth knowledge of how data is collected, processed, & externalized to clients within DoubleVerifys architecture
• You will script in python & SQL extensively
• You will be working with data analysis tools such as Grafana to create reports & data visualization
• You will be part of the on-call rotation
• You will work with Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, OLTP, MongoDB, etc
• You will be thrilled at the prospect of building strong relationships with different teams in the company, solving operational issues, & implementing quality improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience. Degree in a technical field preferred
• Strong SQL querying skills
• 1+ years SQL experience
• 1+ years Linux environment experience
• 1+ years of experience writing SQL & scripting languages python, bash, etc
• Good understanding of BI & Data Warehousing concepts (ETL, OLAP vs. OLTP, Slowly Changing Dimensions)
• Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt, learn new skill sets, & be able to understand operational challenges
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, & organizational skills with a clear focus under pressure
• Must be proactive with proven ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously
• Resourceful, results orientated with the ability to get things done & overcome obstacles
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building with diverse, global, cross-functional team
• Proven ability to troubleshoot & problem solve in complex systems
• Good understanding of process automation

Nice to have:

• Cloud computing fundamentals, knowledge of Google Cloud services
• Previous experience with gitops, CI/CD, GitLab or other automation/delivery tools

The successful candidates starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, & balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV. The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $72,000- $144,000. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, & benefits. The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description; however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, & recognize that the person we hire may be more or less experienced than this job description as posted.
