The Frontend Platform team builds tools & libraries that make it easy for Vimeo engineers to write high quality frontend code that delivers an exceptional experience for our users.

What youll do:
- Work on the next generation of Vimeos design system, building composable, accessible React components
- Write clean, well-tested, & performant library & product code
- Build & maintain existing tools written in JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Bash & Rust
- Find common UI patterns & consolidate them into reusable, scalable components
- Grow technically & professionally in a collaborative & inclusive environment with opportunities to learn & share with others
Skills & knowledge you should possess:
- A solid understanding of modern JavaScript, TypeScript, semantic HTML, & the DOM
- Strong knowledge of React conventions & best practices
- Familiarity with Next.js or a similar React framework
- Experience with common CSS tooling like CSS-in-JS & SCSS
- Able to write simple, maintainable & thorough unit tests using Jest
- Experience working with component libraries, design systems & design tools like Figma & Storybook
- An understanding of basic performance optimization for web applications
- A strong eye for product design with a focus on interactivity, usability & accessibility
- Knowledge of WCAG & WAI-ARIA accessibility standards
Targeted Base Salary Range: $105,300 to $160,500
The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
