As a Retail Planner at Warby Parker, your role is pivotal in driving sales & growth for our business. You'll focus on optimizing store clusters, making product attribute suggestions for specific store groupings, forecasting product mix, & collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes. Your insights will help shape our retail planning strategy & ensure the right products are available in the right places to maximize sales.
What youll do:
- Analyze the retail product assortment & partner with Merchandising to set strategy to maximize bookings, drive growth, & enhance the Warby Parker business
- Develop & maintain store groupings for improved sales & inventory efficiency
- Forecast product mix at the store level to meet targets & increase bookings
- Partner with the Merchandise Planning, Allocation, & Merchandising teams to develop SKU clustering & store grouping strategies
- Contribute to the creation & maintenance of Anaplan models related to retail planning, SKU clustering, & store clusteringdriving strategic enhancement & automation all the while
- Collaborate with the Retail team to understand topline initiatives, product trends, & Retail fleet call-outs that may impact product-level forecasting
- Update & monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) & diagnostics related to forecasting to drive continuous improvement & prepare relevant reports & analyses
Who you are:
- The proud owner of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Backed by 3+ years of experience at a retail or consumer goods company with a retail footprint
- Equipped with experience in retail planning, merchandise planning, or a related role (e.g., business analytics, financial planning & analysis, forecasting)
- A deeply analytical thinker with the data-driven decision-making skills to match
- Proficient in retail planning software & tools
- An excellent communicator whos no stranger to collaborating cross-functionally
- Not on the Office of Inspector Generals List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
Extra credit:
- Wizard-level Excel skills (particularly in modeling)
- A strong understanding of retail math & forecasting (store clustering, forecasting at the store & product level, & analysis to inform decision-making)
