The Director of Inclusion & Impact will lead all of Squarespace's Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging & Social Responsibility strategies & programs. You will oversee the internal team & will collaborate with leadership, employees, ERGs & external partners to create & align all of our efforts to our goals, strategy & mission. An emphasis on diversity-related ESG methodologies & approaches, strategy development, measurement & experimentation will be integral as we continue to grow globally.

You will report directly to the Chief People Officer & can be based in our Dublin or New York City office (hybrid/flexible).

You'll Get To...

  • Develop & implement a comprehensive inclusion & impact strategy that aligns with our values & goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate diversity & inclusion principles into all aspects of our operations & practices, & ensure compliance in social & governance objectives.
  • Develop training programs, workshops, & educational initiatives to raise awareness & promote understanding of diversity & inclusion issues.
  • Partner with the People team to ensure fair hiring, promotion, & retention practices.
  • Maintain & evolve existing programs, including employee resource groups (ERGs) to support the needs of multiple affinity groups & foster a culture of belonging.
  • Oversee social initiatives, including corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs & intersectional environmental sustainability efforts
  • Foster partnerships with external organizations, community groups, & vendors to advance diversity & inclusion goals, & social & governance objectives.
  • Stay abreast of best practices & developments in diversity, inclusion, & social & governance issues incorporating relevant insights into organizational strategies.
  • Represent us in relevant forums, conferences, & events related to diversity & inclusion, & social & governance matters.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate & compliant reporting of metrics, disclosures, & commitments, aligning with regulatory requirements & ESG standards.

Who We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience leading diversity, inclusion, & social & governance principles & developing successful programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge & hands-on experience with diversity, inclusion, & impact concepts, issues, & best practices.
  • On top of the evolving landscape of regulatory & compliance standards; can quickly identify & recommend ways to adjust to changes.
  • Proficiency in building relationships, conveying information, & leading group interactions with finesse, with the ability to engage & inspire others across diverse perspectives
  • Demonstrated leadership & project management skills, a capacity to initiate change & influence partners across organizational levels.
  • Experience working with employee resource groups (ERGs) & diverse communities.
  • Certifications or training in diversity, equity, & inclusion (e.g., SHRM Diversity & Inclusion Certificate) & social & governance frameworks (e.g., ESG standards) are desirable.

Cash Compensation Range: $203,500 - $327,750 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
