About the Team:

Data is core to our growing business & has been ingrained in the company's DNA since its founding. As a member of the Business Intelligence team, you will arm stakeholders with data to measure performance & insights, driving continuous improvements across the company. The team is responsible for developing & maintaining RTRs core data model, defining & analyzing performance metrics, building reports, & enabling self-service report solutions. Business Intelligence is an important sub-team within the RTR Finance organization.

About the Job:

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Manager to own data accessibility, reporting & analysis across the company. In this role you will work closely with functional leaders to translate business needs into data requirements & own the development of core data pipelines & our self-serve reporting infrastructure (we use Looker!). You will partner with data scientists to drive action from the predictive models they build, weaving insights & guidance into the business intelligence tools you produce. You will perform action-oriented analyses driving business decisions. You will help craft our BI strategy, determining which tools to adopt & how to balance self-service reporting with canonical reporting sources.

What Youll Do: 

• Work with product & engineering to ensure we collect data required to support core business areas.
• Create scalable, reusable datasets that support scalable reporting & analysis.
• Define, monitor, & diagnose progress against Objectives & Key Results & other Key Performance Indicators.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop & perform analyses driving business decisions across the organization.
• Manage the business intelligence roadmap in partnership with cross-functional business leaders.
• Mentor a small team of analysts.

About You:

• You have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Technology, Business or related fields; advanced degrees and/or specializations a plus.
• You have 5+ years experience in a business intelligence or related function.
• You have a high proficiency using relational databases & writing queries in SQL.
• You have experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Looker.
• Experience working with events data & product analytics tools such as Heap is plus!
• Experience with eCommerce and/or operational data is highly preferred.
• Experience using dbt & familiarity with dimensional modeling are preferred.
• You have a track record of building strong relationships with cross-functional partners.
• You're able to communicate effectively with wide-range of audiences.
• You have a passion for data & its fundamental ability to create value.
• You're extremely curious & excited to dive into complex problems.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $100,000-$132,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. This position is also eligible for equity compensation.
