Warby Parker is on the lookout for an Associate Manager of New Store Openings (NSO) to lead the full launch process for new retail locations in your region & beyond. In this role, youll play a key part in ensuring operational excellence, driving cross-functional collaboration, & managing the end-to-end NSO processfrom pre-opening preparation to post-opening follow-ups. Youll work closely with the Retail Operations, Construction, Supply Chain, & field teams to create a seamless store launch experience.
This role will be based out of our New York City HQ & report directly to the Director of Retail Operations. Approximately 80% of your time will be focused on pre-work, project management, & coordination with field teams & HQ partners to ensure every store opens smoothly & successfully. The remaining 20% will support the Retail Operations team in driving store operational improvements that benefit store growth, collaborating on projects that enhance efficiency & contributing to broader operational initiatives across the fleet. What youll do:
- Oversee 2025 NSOs per year, remotely managing end-to-end execution alongside Store Leaders (SL) on the ground
- Host kick-off calls & establish weekly NSO planning meetings to align on priorities with partners from the Retail Ops, Marketing, & Construction teams
- Confirm & facilitate operational specifics, including operating hours, property manager introductions, & site-specific details
- Act as a primary point of contact for weekly store development calls, leading communication with District Leaders (DL), Area Leaders (AL), Store Leaders, & HQ partners before & during store openings
- Partner with the Supply Chain, Brand, Visuals, & Lab teams to ensure that all NSO supplies & products arrive on time & are properly checked in
- Manage key system setup processes, including software integration, Google Doc creation, & vendor account creation
- Support store turnover, operational setup, & dress rehearsals, & provide hands-on assistance throughout opening weekends
- In partnership with DLs, support the training district support leads to execute orientation & dress rehearsal with store team
- Collaborate with on-site facilitators, SLs, & ALs/DLs to gather feedback for continuous improvement on NSO execution
- Identify any warranty items with the Retail Facilities & Construction teams through post-opening reviews with field leaders
- Sometimes need to travel to support single-store market growth
