Warby Parker is seeking a Senior Manager, Tax to support our growing Accounting team. In this position, youll oversee our income tax reporting, compliance, & planning, helping to ensure the success of our ability to do business across the U.S. & Canada. What youll do:

• Lead the quarterly & annual tax provision process with respect to ASC 740, including the management & coordination with third-party vendors on material tax positions
• Oversee the preparation of corporate tax returns, workpapers, & estimates prepared internally & by third-party accounting firms for federal, state, & local reporting obligations
• Establish processes & procedures to ensure all income & related taxes are accounted for & that the financial statements correctly present the impact of income & related taxes, inclusive of the review of balance sheet reconciliations
• Develop & maintain various tax analytics to provide insight into future tax obligations & opportunities for budgeting, strategy, & cash flow planning
• Provide cross-functional support regarding tax positions, including special projects such as the R&D tax credit, enterprise software implementations, & one-off transactions
• Conduct detailed tax research & planning to remain informed of relevant tax regulatory developments, while thoroughly documenting & assisting with the development of tax policies, procedures, & methodology changes

Who you are:

• Backed by 7+ years of broad & progressive tax experience, preferably within a public accounting or corporate tax department setting (bonus points if you have experience with SOX compliance)
• The proud owner of a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (bonus points if you have your CPA or MST/MSA)
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to own your work from start to finish
• Highly organized & detail-oriented, with a passion for constantly improving processes month-over-month, quarter-over-quarter, year-over-year
• A direct, honest communicator when working with your team & other stakeholders
• Positive, kind, excited by a challenge, & ready to offer support whenever needed
• Not on the Office of Inspector Generals List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)

• Sage Fixed Asset or comparable experience with tax depreciation software
