The Vice President, Business Development will play a pivotal role in supporting DoubleVerifys (DV) growth by leading & executing strategic partnerships within the adtech industry.  The Vice President, Business Development will be primarily responsible for the expansion of DVs performance solutions across DSPs, Social Platforms & Streaming Video providers.  DV has built a suite of performance-focused solutions organically, with DV Authentic Attention, & through acquisition (Scibids, Rockerbox) & this candidate will be tasked with ensuring these solutions have broad & scalable coverage across the adtech ecosystem.  Beyond this, Vice President, Business Development will be tasked with cultivating & managing other strategic partnerships, including those with data services, platforms & publishers, & will be responsible for negotiating & executing all requisite agreements in concert with DV stakeholders in Product & Commercial to facilitate service expansion & revenue growth. 

DVs Business Development team is a core business unit dedicated to driving unique, value-added partnerships within the adtech community & to ensuring consistent coverage of DV services across all environments.  The Vice President, Business Development will serve as a senior leader on the team helping shape the future growth of DV.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Create & execute business development strategy & roadmap for DVs performance solutions, working in collaboration with business leaders & stakeholders across the DV organization

  • Effectively identify, secure, & manage partnerships with key stakeholders across the ecosystem as required by the business, including with platforms, publishers, & vendors.

  • Identify & develop new revenue-generating opportunities, building the business case & advocating with senior leadership.

  • Proactively build & maintain senior-level relationships in Business Development, Product & Executive teams of partner companies.

  • Adjust prioritization of workload to manage dynamic needs of the business, including ongoing collaboration with DV Product & Commercial leadership.

  • Represent DVs value propositions, best practices, & viewpoints with industry associations, events, & amplify through industry speaking opportunities.

Who You Are

  • Over 10 years of demonstrated excellence in business development or partnership roles.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish trusted relationships, navigate a large partner organization, & drive strategic deals to a close under a tight timeline.

  • Profound understanding of advertising technology, with specific preference for knowledge of verification, media mix modeling, & outcome measurement solutions.

  • Proven track record of identifying, securing, & managing revenue-generating partnerships.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, & negotiation skills.

  • Experience, familiarity & comfort partnering with product teams to jointly drive efforts forward

  • Strategic mindset with the capacity to translate market insights into actionable strategies.

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution (MBA preferred).

The successful candidates starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, & balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV. The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $197,000 to $340,000. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, & benefits. The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description; however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, & recognize that the person we hire may be more or less experienced than this job description as posted.
