WHAT YOULL DO

The Vox Media Podcast Network is seeking a Senior Video Producer to drive multiplatform video execution across a diverse & high-profile slate of podcasts. This role will serve as a key creative & production contributor to show teams launching new video series or expanding audio-first titles into video, bringing platform expertise & editorial vision to the process.

Youll work closely with hosts, producers, & editorial stakeholders to shape each shows unique visual identity, develop platform-native shortform content, & guide teams through the creative & technical transition into video. This is a hands-on role for a highly skilled & versatile video editor & visual storyteller who can also consult on strategy, manage freelancers, & deliver polished, high-performing content tailored to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, & other platforms.

  • Partner with podcast teams across the network to develop & launch new video shows or expand audio-first titles into video, offering both creative consultation & executional support.
  • Edit & produce longform video episodes for platforms like YouTube, ensuring strong pacing, dynamic visuals, & high production value across remote, in-studio, & hybrid formats.
  • Create platform-native shortform video content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, & YouTube Shortstranslating strong podcast moments into compelling visual stories.
  • Design & implement scalable visual elements (motion graphics, captions, lower-thirds, etc.) that align with each shows tone & target platform.
  • Manage & mentor freelance editors & designers, assigning work, giving creative feedback, & ensuring brand consistency & quality across deliverables.
  • Write & edit scripts as needed in collaboration with hosts/show teams, contributing to the editorial shape & clarity of visual content.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, social, & audience development teams to ensure content meets performance goals & platform best practices.
  • Stay current on visual & social trends across the podcast & digital media landscape, offering insights & ideas that help teams evolve & stand out.

WHAT YOULL BRING

  • 68+ years of experience in digital video production, with a track record of success creating editorial or creator-driven content for social & streaming platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce both longform & shortform video content, especially for talk-based or interview-driven formats.
  • Strong editing expertise in Adobe Premiere (motion design & graphics capabilities in After Effects or similar tools a plus).
  • Experience managing freelancers or vendors, & clear creative direction that ensures timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Excellent editorial instincts & scriptwriting ability, with a knack for shaping pacing, tone, & story arc, especially in host-driven formats.
  • A collaborative, consultative working style & the ability to plug into existing teams to help elevate their visual presence.
  • A deep understanding of video platform ecosystems (YouTube, TikTok, Reels), including what drives performance, how users engage, & what makes shows grow.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
