WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
BaubleBar is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Product Development to lead the end-to-end development of our bead & craft kit collections across all accounts & customers. This role is responsible for driving strategy, process excellence, & innovation within the product development team while building strong cross-functional partnerships across merchandising, design, production, & overseas factories. The Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring that every product meets BaubleBars standards for design, quality, & margin performance.
WHAT WE WANT YOU TO DO:
- Lead & manage the full product development process for our bead & craft kit categories from design handoff through prototype, costing, & production
- Drive vendor communication, clearly conveying design intent, materials, quality standards & technical details, while managing sample readiness for key milestones & market meetings
- Own cost & margin performance, leveraging deep knowledge of materials, components, & factory capabilities to optimize costs without compromising quality or design integrity
- Partner cross-functionally with merchandising, design, & production to ensure creative vision, cost targets, & timelines are met
- Monitor & manage development calendars, proactively identifying risks & implementing solutions to maintain timelines & ensure flawless execution
- Constantly evaluate & support evolution of the product development process through education of development team & process change
- Bring a high level of creativity, attention to detail & efficiency while working under tight deadlines & on multiple projects simultaneously
- Be enthusiastic about expanding your skill set & working on a broad range of projects
- Stay knowledgeable about industry standards & trends
- Work onsite at our Manhattan office 4-5 days per week
WHAT WE WANT TO SEE:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Product Development or related degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in product development, specifically within jewelry, crafts, or childrens toys
- Proven success in driving full-cycle product development, from concept through order placement, across multiple accounts or product categories
- Strong knowledge of factory capabilities, materials sourcing, & overseas product development & production processes
- Highly organized & solutions-oriented, with the ability to anticipate challenges & drive results in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional leadership, communication, & negotiation skills with a track record of cross-functional influence
- Someone who truly LOVES creating amazing products at the right price & whose passion is evident in their work
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Starting salary range for this role is $100,000-110,000. Starting offer within that range will factor in work location, skills, background & years of relevant experience
