About Platform Infrastructure at iCapital:

Our Technology department includes multiple teams dedicated to creating an industry-leading platform that manages the full life cycle of alternative investments. The Platform Infrastructure Team delivers & manages highly-available, extremely automated deployment systems within a cloud architecture with an infrastructure-as-code philosophy.  We consist of three groups:  Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps Engineering & Cloud Architecture. We manage several Kubernetes Clusters & a host of interconnected services across several AWS regions.

As part of the Platform Engineering team, some areas of responsibility may include:

• Working closely with engineering to help design & onboard new services & craft their deployment strategy within GitLab as we deploy to EKS, Lambda & ECS.
• Assisting with operational support of the cloud architectures, such as helping troubleshoot pipeline issues, examining a slow API response time using our existing tooling, or logging into a container within a pod to understand why the service hasnt started.
• Writing Terraform code to add or modify some critical infrastructure components, such as adding new services or modifying application permissions to access them.
• Working with data engineers to help modify or create a data pipeline as part of MLOps activities.
• Helping with a proof of concept of a new DevOps or SRE tool to help streamline or get better visibility into the environment.
• Helping spin up an entire infrastructure in a new AWS region.

The ideal candidate is...

• Experienced with one programming language, ideally Python, Ruby or Java
• A Linux enthusiast, or someone highly confident in a Linux-only environment.
• Someone who has exposure to AWS ideally, or Azure or GCP.
• An eager, analytical & thoughtful learner who enjoys understanding how systems work from a broad perspective.
• A great communicator infrastructure groups are about teaching & learning from one another.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Adaptable to take on new responsibilities & be detail oriented
• Technologically savvy & proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
• A rising senior or junior in a U.S. college/university bachelors degree program
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Authorized to work in the United States*

Pay Rate: $40/hour + relocation stipend & transportation stipend
