Pursuits mission is to create economic transformation. Pursuit trains low-income adults to launch careers as software engineers, advance in their professions, & become the next generation of leaders in tech. On average, Pursuit Fellows go from earning $18,000 to over $90,000 starting salary after the first year of Core training, adding $2M in estimated lifetime earnings. The Pursuit Fellowship is designed to build an inclusive tech industry: all Fellows are from low-income backgrounds; 70% are Black or Hispanic; 50% are women or non-binary; 40% are immigrants; 60% do not have a Bachelors degree; & +50% receive public assistance. Pursuit partners with top companies like Citi, Peloton, Uber, & Blackstone to employ Fellows in career-defining engineering roles. Since 2013, Pursuit has enabled ~500 low-income adults to attain thriving tech careers, representing ~$1B in aggregate lifetime wage gains, & lasting economic mobility.

These experts & professionals help keep our curriculum fresh & our standards for achievement high by participating in our admissions process, as well as program-specific activities such as interview training, DemoDays, Hackathons, & Capstone projects. 

Pursuit is building an innovative financial product known as the Pursuit Bond which aims to directly connect capital markets & training organizations through an outcomes-based model. The Pursuit Bond is poised to play a pivotal role in our growth strategy over the next decade & will be a key driver for scale t & a business capable of serving other training & educational institutions. 

As the first Data, Insights & Partnership Manager for the Pursuit Bond you will focus on ensuring data integrity in order to build the prototype for a newly forming team & function. Youll use this data to build out the value proposition for end users, drive outcomes & identify partnership opportunities as we scale this product. 

As a Data, Insights & Partnership Manager you will: 

  • Collaborating with colleagues, compile insights & analytics on the Pursuit Fellows journey that will empower strategic growth of the Pursuit Bond platform
  • Ensure data integrity throughout Pursuit Fellows journey, creating guidelines & guardrails for data hygiene moving forward
  • Develop innovative approaches to acquire & maintain data outcomes
  • Build partnerships with employers, payroll & payment businesses
  • Set up data infrastructure prototype & design for Bond platform
  • Develop compelling, insightful data visualizations to effectively communicate key insights
  • Build the foundations for a data outcomes & partnerships function
  • Capture key data insights & translate them into user stories to create compelling presentations with data informed recommendations

What you need to be considered for Data, Insights & Partnership Manager role: 

  • Proven experience working with data to build a roadmap to achieve outcomes & identify new partnerships
  • Experience in working with data & ability to recognize patterns
    • Interest in both 0 to 1 & scale up You are scrappy & agile, able to be strategic & execute simultaneously
  • Curiosity & bias for action 
  • Research & Innovation Skills: To identify partnership, collaboration & out of the box approaches
  • Superior Communication skills: Our multi sided bond platform will have different types of users with different needs/perspectives. Great communication skills are essential

Where youll work: 

  • Hybrid
  • At least 2 days per week in our Long Island City office

Salary & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $170,000 base + incentive compensation.

The compensation range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles & recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted.  If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated to you as a candidate.
