About the Role 

iCapital is looking to hire a Data Governance Vice President to join the Data & Analytics team. This position will support the company's Data Governance & Data Management program throughout the organization. This individual will support one of iCapitals strategic priorities focused on improving our core data assets. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, adaptable, and be able partner with various leaders to drive change. The focus of this role will be to manage a data domain, establish it governance committee for that domain and be responsible for our data catalog. 

Responsibilities 

• Lead the design, implementation, & maintenance of the data governance framework. 
• Help promote the data governance framework & drive adoption across all the company's divisions. 
• Work with business partners to establish data quality standard & metrics.  
• Build strong partnerships with business & technology stakeholders, work with internal stakeholders to complete various data projects.  
• Create & maintain a data dictionary for assigned data domain. 
• Play an instrumental role in monitoring the compliance & progress of data domain & work to make sure the data governance program goals are accomplished. 
• Provide thought leadership to further develop processes, & companywide roles & responsibilities, to help the company meet the expectations of its data governance policy. 
• Work with data consumers & producers to negotiate ownership of data. 
• Support the system of record as a "single source of truth" for each data element; Resolve multiple sources of truth issues with key stakeholders via clear definitions of elements. 
• Support management, manipulation, & capture of data. 
• Facilitate multi-directional communication of strategies, priorities, & issues. Facilitate multi-directional communication of strategies, priorities, & issues 
• Work with the business units to ensure data ownership & quality. 
• Champion organizational behavior change as it relates to the use of data; Realizing vision of data managed as an asset. 
• Effectively partner with divisions across the company with a focus on end-client value 
• Lead or assist on ad hoc projects as assigned. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in information technology/business administration or 10+ years experience in a related field  
• 5 years of relevant hands-on data governance, data quality, or data management 5+ years of relevant hands-on data governance, data quality, or data management  
• Proficient with spreadsheet, presentation, dashboard tools & able to learn quickly & adapt to new changes & new challenges experience 
• 3+ years working in the insurance or financial services 
• Credible across both business & IT 
• Understanding of operational processes, data, & systems landscape 
• Proactive & works well in a collaborative environment 
• Good attention to detail & analytical thinking 

Benefits 

The base salary range for this role is $150000 to $190000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, & an annual performance bonus.
