The Team & Role

SevenRooms is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to our Senior Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing several areas across Finance including month-end close & reporting, expense reimbursements & foreign entity accounting. You will also be a crucial player in defining & implementing processes & automation to ensure our accounting operations run smoothly as we scale.

The Finance Team collaborates cross-functionally to implement policies & procedures which keeps the organization on track for success. We are a small but mighty team that is on a global mission to fundamentally transform hospitality forever. The Finance Team is looking for someone who is engaging, passionate & takes initiative to tackle challenges & implement change across our fast-scaling organization!

What Youll Do

  • Support monthly close process & tight close by business day 6
  • Produce various balance sheet reconciliations, month-end reports & fluctuation analyses with high level of accuracy
  • Review monthly reconciliations for cash, AR & AP, prepaids & Fixed Assets prepared by Staff Accountant & propose adjustments as needed
  • Prepare monthly accrued expense journal entries & other assigned liabilities to ensure accuracy & completeness
  • Own all employee expense processing & systems including managing the corporate credit card program
  • Assist leadership with annual Financial audits (US & international) including preparation of schedules & PBC requests for external auditors. Be comfortable discussing Audit matters with external Audit & Tax teams
  • Participate in the monthly Budget vs Actual internal review meetings with Finance Leadership by conducting routine analysis of financial fluctuations & providing valuable insights to both the team & key stakeholders
  • Assist senior leadership with the preparation of monthly close meeting reports, investor requests & contribute to Board meeting materials
  • Own foreign subsidiary close including providing GST/VAT reports to overseas Accounting partners plus review of quarterly GST/VAT filings
  • Prepare foreign entity funding calculations & post required intercompany transactions
  • Directly oversee the AP function & be a coach & mentor to existing team member
  • Maintain & ensure the integrity of the companys accounting systems & compliance with GAAP
  • Recommend & implement continuous improvements in the companys accounting processes, financial operations & financial/business controls

Who You Are:

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or Mathematics
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant corporate accounting experience; experience in a SaaS (software as a service) company strongly preferred
  • Strong US GAAP & Month End Close Experience
  • Experience with Expense Reimbursement systems (Navan & Expensify) & processes
  • Demonstrated experience with all components of day-to-day accounting & accounting operations
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • High level of initiative, attention to detail & eagerness to continuously improve
  • Experience with ERP, system integrations & affinity with system enhancements & prior experience with NetSuite is a plus
  • Experience with Consolidations is a plus

    • The salary range for this role is $85,000.00 - $95,000.00. This is the range SevenRooms in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of the posting. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed remotely in any US state. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, & business needs. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also bonus eligible. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, & determinable.
