Squarespace is looking for an accomplished Director-level leader to join our Finance organization.

As a senior leader on the Finance team, you will collaborate with the Squarespace executive team & their leadership teams to evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives, optimizing spend while driving topline growth. You will serve as the primary resource for investment analysis & forward-looking financial assumptions. You will build strong relationships across the organization & deliver clear, concise financial insights, driving strategic processes & impactful outcomes.

You will report to our Senior Director, FP&A & be based in our New York headquarters.

You'll Get To

Strategic Partnership:

  • Act asa key business partner to business leaders across R&D, Marketing, Customer Operations & General Managers to provide strategic financial insights & actionable recommendations.
  • Proactively recommend areas of opportunity to key stakeholders

Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to assess the financial impact of short & long term strategic priorities & initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals.

Financial Modeling & Planning:

  • Build & refine financial models for budgeting, forecasting & long-range planning to support strategic initiatives.
  • Develop a robust framework to monitor, analyze, & optimize media & acquisition spend within Marketing's budget, driving efficiency & effectiveness
  • Develop comprehensive financial models to provide data-driven insights & improve decision-making across strategic initiatives.

Executive Reporting:

  • Prepare & deliver executive-level presentations, summarizing financial results & offering strategic recommendations for the senior leadership team
  • Implement best practices for managing vendor & headcount spend approvals, ensuring financial discipline & operational efficiency.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, & develop a team of high-performing analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, & continuous improvement.

Who We're Looking For

  • 12+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis with a focus on topline growth.
  • 6+ years of people management experience, including leading high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to understand & proactively communicate the financial implications of business decisions & evolving market dynamics.
  • Extensive experience preparing & presenting financial analysis, forecasts, & actionable recommendations to executives & senior-level stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying intellectual curiosity to uncover insights & develop innovative solutions that deliver differentiated results.
  • Exceptional analytical & modeling skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights & concise recommendations.
  • Keen eye for detail with the ability to identify & communicate overarching trends & strategic opportunities to senior management.

Cash Compensation Range: $203,500 - $275,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, & location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
