Role Roadmap
Kalshi is seeking a strategic & data-driven TV Lead to own our national & streaming television strategy end-to-end. This individual will plan, buy, & optimize campaigns across linear & connected TV, balancing creative storytelling with performance rigor. They will negotiate directly with networks & platforms, manage agency & vendor relationships, & use data to continually refine spend efficiency & impact. The ideal candidate combines media expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset, helping position Kalshi as a category-defining brand through smart, measurable TV investment.
Key Responsibilities
Media Strategy & Buying
- Develop, execute, & optimize Kalshis TV buying strategy across national & local markets
- Plan & manage media buys across linear TV, CTV/OTT, & emerging video platforms to drive efficient customer acquisition
Market & Audience Analysis
- Analyze audience data, ratings, reach/frequency, & performance metrics to inform smart buying decisions
- Identify high-value placements & inventory opportunities based on audience behavior & Kalshis target customer segments
Campaign Execution & Optimization
- Own end-to-end campaign execution: forecasting, negotiating rates, securing inventory, trafficking spots, & ensuring accurate delivery
- Monitor pacing & performance in real time; quickly adjust flighting, placements, & spend to maximize ROI
Vendor & Network Relationships
- Build & maintain strong relationships with networks, stations, DSPs, & media partners
- Negotiate rates, added value, & make goods to ensure Kalshi receives premium placement & maximum efficiency
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Growth, Analytics, Creative, & Product Marketing to ensure TV strategy aligns with broader acquisition goals
- Work with analytics teams to interpret results & translate insights into actionable next-steps
Performance Reporting & Insights
- Develop detailed post-buy analyses, performance reports, & recommendations for future cycles
- Translate campaign performance into clear insights for senior leadership
Budget Management
- Own TV/media budgetsforecasting, allocating, & managing spend across channels & timeframes
- Ensure campaigns deliver within budget while meeting efficiency targets
Testing & Innovation
- Design & run structured tests across networks, formats, audience segments, & dayparts to expand Kalshis playbook
- Stay ahead of trends in TV & CTV buying, measurement, attribution, & marketplace shifts
Qualifications
- 510+ years of experience in TV/media buying (linear + CTV/OTT), ideally in a performance-driven environment
- Strong understanding of media math, TV measurement, & attribution (e.g., MMM, MTA, incrementality)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets efficiently & strategically
- Established relationships with networks, stations, & media vendors a strong plus.
- Proven experience optimizing campaigns based on data & measurable KPIs.Excellent negotiation skills, analytical thinking, & attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, experimentation-heavy environment
- Bachelors degree required; relevant marketing, advertising, or communications background preferred
NYC Pay Transparency Disclosure
Salary Range: $130,000 to $250,000
This salary range is based on the current available market data & represents the expected range for this role. Kalshi has minimal hierarchy & few titles, but has broad ranges of experience represented within roles.
