Casper is looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to join our Finance team in our New York City HQ. Along with managing ongoing AP processes, the Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for taking the lead on developing & evolving our AP systems & processes to ensure that they are efficient & scalable as our business continues to grow. This person will lead a team of two people & will report to the VP Global Controller.

When youre not catching zzzs, this is what youll do...

Vendor-related

• Procure to Pay Automation help to improve the current process
• Accurately enter & review invoices into ERP
• Monitor status of purchase orders & invoices in the PO & A/P modules
• Ensure that invoices are approved in accordance with company policy & are correctly coded using the companys chart of accounts
• Ensure critical vendors are paid on a timely basis & that all available vendor discounts are taken
• Add new vendors in compliance with the companys policy & regular reconciliation of vendor accounts & communication regarding status
• Manage the approval workflow in the PO & A/P modules

Employee-related

• Monitor status of T&E reports in the T&E application
• Perform final review of all T&E reports to ensure conformity with the T&E policy
• Conduct administrative functions in the T&E application in coordination with the Controller

Other

• Participate in month end close meetings
• Communicate regularly with sponsors, third party advisors, as well as other members of the finance team regarding compliance reporting & vendor reconciliation
• Manage the coding & payment of all purchasing cards & company credit cards
• Coordinate with the GL & Manufacturing accountants during the monthly close process
• Recommend best practices, considering automation & process improvements
• Assist with implementation of Procurement policy & tools as related to Concur/JDE purchasing
• Respond to all A/P-related inquiries
• Prepare & disburse all 1099s
• Coordinate tax filings with accountants & Controller
• Support annual financial statement audit process

Our dream candidate is/has: 

• Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education & experience
• 5-7 years of accounts payable experience, including 3-4 years as an accounts payable manager
• 3-4 years managing the T&E process utilizing a web-based T&E application (e.g. Concur, etc.)
• Strong people leadership capabilities
• Willingness to extend themselves & assist other people
• Strong understanding of financial controls around Purchasing & A/P
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• Good planning & organizational skills to balance & prioritize work
• Proficient with Excel
• This is a hybrid role, requiring that you work 2 days per week (Tuesdays & Wednesdays) from our spacious 3 World Trade Center office.

Nice-to-have:

• Prior start-up experience
• JDE Enterprise and Concur experience  
• Experience with an E-commerce and/or manufacturing entity
• Experience with system implementations
• Exposure to large ERP systems

Targeted Annual Base Salary Range: $110,000-125,000 USD
