What You'll Do

Collections Management:

• Lead & manage the collections team to meet or exceed cash collection targets.
• Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue balances & implement appropriate collection strategies.
• Establish & maintain strong relationships with customers to resolve billing issues & ensure timely payments.
• Review & analyze aging reports regularly, taking action on delinquent accounts.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, & legal to resolve disputed invoices & collection challenges.
• Develop & enforce credit policies & procedures in line with company risk appetite.

Cash Applications:

• Oversee accurate & timely application of customer payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards).
• Ensure daily reconciliation of cash receipts to bank statements & AR ledger.
• Identify & resolve unapplied or misapplied cash & short payments.
• Coordinate with the billing team on adjustments, write-offs, & credit memos as needed.
• Monitor & enhance automation of cash application processes (e.g., lockbox, auto-matching, ERP tools).

Leadership & Reporting:

• Hire, train, & develop AR team members with a focus on performance, accountability, & career development.
• Prepare & present weekly & monthly reports on collections performance, DSO, & unapplied cash metrics.
• Recommend & implement process improvements to streamline AR operations & reduce errors.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, & audit requirements related to receivables.
• Support month-end close activities, including AR reconciliations & reporting.

Who You Are

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable, including a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of AR processes, including collections & cash applications.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & data analysis.
• Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a high-volume AR environment.
• Familiarity with B2B collections best practices.
• Exposure to automation tools

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
• % Of current receivables
• % of unapplied cash
• Collection effectiveness index
• Timeliness & accuracy of cash application
• Dispute resolution turnaround time

The successful candidates starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, & balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV. The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $86,000 - $163,000. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, & benefits. The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description; however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, & recognize that the person we hire may be more or less experienced than this job description as posted.
